Plot
Countess Elena Rambaldi has a natural brother, Alfonso, hated by the old Count Rambaldi and banished from his home. Old Count dies of a heart attack. Elena, universal heir of the family fortune, knows Guido, falls in love with him, marries him and gives him the family title.
In an ambiguous atmosphere Guido is seduced and ensnared by the perfidious dancer Nara, eager to get his hands on the title and the heritage of the Rambaldi. She tries to poison the countess under the eyes of her drugged and unaware husband. However, when Alfonso goes to give the last kiss to his sister, he discovers that she is alive. Guido begins regrets the wrongdoing and leaves Nara, who takes revenge by taking him to court. The trial would end badly for the count if Elena did not show up to reveal the mystery.

Trama
La contessina Elena Rambaldi ha un fratello naturale, Alfonso, odiato dal conte Rambaldi e bandito dalla sua casa. Il Conte muore ed Elena, erede universale della fortuna di famiglia, conosce Guido, se ne innamora, lo sposa concedendogli il titolo di famiglia.
In un’ambigua atmosfera Guido viene sedotto ed irretito dalla perfida ballerina Nara, bramosa di mettere le mani sul titolo e sul patrimonio dei Rambaldi. Nara cerca di avvelenare la contessa sotto gli occhi del marito drogato e inconsapevole. Quando però Alfonso va a dare l'ultimo bacio alla sorella scopre che è viva. Guido si pente del malfatto e si allontana da Nara, che si vendica portandolo in tribunale. Il processo finirebbe male per il conte se non si presentasse Elena in persona a svelare il mistero.
